9 Key Rules To Get Ripped: Part 2 of 3

So, we’re back with the second part of this series.

If you haven’t read the last article, I’ll quickly catch you up to date:

This series is about the 9 key rules that are essential to follow if you are serious about getting muscular.

And, with no further ado…

4. Perfection is impossible

Don’t try for perfection. You’ll fail, and that’s a guarantee.  Don’t go for the 100% all the time. Leave yourself some space so that you can actually enjoy yourself and your body. Ensure that you don’t spoil your own day by constantly having to have X amount of protein or Y amount of creatine.  Obviously, don’t let this get to your head, and not eat healthily the majority of the time, but what I’m really trying to say is, enjoy yourself.

In addition to that, I’m gonna say, don’t set challenges for yourself that are unachievable. If you’re aiming to be a 160lbs, go for 150 first. As humans, we can achieve anything. But why punch down a wall when you could just climb over it?

5. Stay Motivated

There is one problem that haunts humanity, one that is essentially the bane of our existence – the inabilty for us to remain motivated.

However, let’s think about this logically and rationally. If you sit on your backside playing video games, what does that achieve? Nothing. If you sleep in all day, waking up only to eat, what does that achieve? Nothing. Doing nothing achieves nothing. Don’t just think everything will sort itself out, because it won’t. Do something about yourself if you don’t like the way you look. If you can’t see something you don’t like about yourself, look harder and you’ll find it.

Set yourself some long-term and short-term goals. For example, if you wanted to be 170lbs, that would be your long-term goal. Your short term goal would be, perhaps, achieving a weight of 161lbs.

Short-term goals give yourself a sense of satisfaction upon completion, which drives you to complete your next goal. And, before you know it, you will have completed your long-term goal, and be satisfied.

Keeping motivated, is definitely the hardest rule. But stick at it, and give you 110% always, because you will be rewarded with riches that money can’t buy.

6. Compound Exercises

Don’t waste your time. If you want to get ripped, take control of yourself. Don’t spend an hour in the gym like a goon, aim to be in and out of the gym in 45 minutes, exhausted. If your serious about getting muscular, you’ll understand the importance of time.

Compound exercises are a fantastic solution to the time dilemma. They not only work multiple muscles at the same time, but also do it effectively.

These exercises include Squats, Deadlifts, Pull Ups, Dips, Push Ups and a lot of others.  A quick google search will give you the exercise you’re looking for.
