Two popular fighters who have been out for quite some time are making their way back into the Octagon at UFC 106 to test their skills. Karo Parisyan (18-5) was suspended for nine months after his defeat of Dong Hyun and fined $36,000 for testing positive for pain killers. His win over Hyun was later ruled a no contest, due to the drug test results.
Dustin Hazelett (12-4) on the other hand has been out since November 28th after he tore his ACL while training to fight Ben Saunders at UFC 96. Hazelett had undergone surgery to fix the tear and has since been recovering.
Both of these fighters have proven their skills in the past, but are both likely to deal with a significant amount of ring rust. The outcome of this fight is likely to be indicative of which fighter will be able to bounce back into the fight game easier.
Also fighting at UFC 106 will be Brock Lesnar vs Shane Carwin and Tito Ortiz vs Mark Coleman. All in all, UFC 106 is looking like it will have some pretty exciting match ups.
