Fabricio Werdum (13-4-1) recently told Tatame that he is 99% certain that he would be facing Fedor Emelianenko (31-1-1) at the April 16th Strikeforce Event. Werdum is a BJJ, Muay Thai and Judo fighter with a recent first round submission win over Antonio “Big Foot” Silva at the Fedor vs Rogers Strikeforce event on November 7th, 2009.
Fedor Emelianenko is thought by most to be the best pound for pound fighter in the world. He once again proved his near invincibility as he crushed Bret Rogers with an amazing TKO (punches) victory.
Over 25 million viewers tuned in to watch these two fighters at the Fedor vs Rogers event and a confirmation of a Fedor vs Werdum fight will surly have fans chomping at the bit and lining up to watch. Everyone wants to know if Fedor can continue his amazing wining streak or if there is a man alive today that can beat him. A win over Fedor would be instant stardom for Werdum. It’s not every day that someone beats Fedor, in fact, it hasn’t been since December 2000.
