In LONDON, on June 7 middleweight Michael Bisping showed MMA fans that he is a threat to middle weights throughout the world of MMA. In an over powering fashion, Bisping grounded and pounded Jason Day into a first round TKO, stopped by the referee.
Many people have doubted Bispings talent often saying that Bisping has yet to fight the worlds best middle weights. This seems to be a common attack on MMA fighters who are on their ascent. Many fans said the same thing about Uriah Faber. I love it when these rising stars make harsh MMA critics eat their words.
Bisping’s recent win will certainly increase calls amongst MMA fans for Bisping to be provided with an even bigger name fight against either Rich Franklin or Nate Quarry. Not only will fans be pushing to see more of “ The Count”, but Bisping himself seems energetic and ready to take on the UFC.
In an interview with SunSport, Bisping said: “I’ll fight whoever the UFC want me to fight. I think they’re putting a show on in Birmingham in October – that’s the rumor I’m hearing – so fingers crossed I’ll be fighting on that and whoever it is, I’ll be ready.”
I love it when a fighter has an “I will fight anyone” attitude. You’ve got to have that attitude to be the best in the world.
