Most MMA fighters who have made it to the top and have become professionals have spent many many years training. Hours and hours in the gym practicing their stand up, practicing their ground game. Some fighters train 8-10 hours a day, 6-7 days a week. On top of this, often a grueling diet and isolation from friends and family are a part of the equation. Then they step in the ring or cage and bam…within seconds they are knocked out cold. This is a hard reality of MMA. It only takes one punch, kick, knee or elbow and it can be lights out. Here is a great clip of some of the fast knockouts I’ve seen.
